Qualifications

To thrive in this role, we’re looking for individuals who possess:

A high school diploma or GED (a caring heart is a major plus!).
Prior caregiving experience is a benefit, but we’re happy to train the right candidate with a willingness to learn and grow!
CPR and First Aid certification (we can help you get certified if needed).
A compassionate and patient spirit with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to safely assist clients with mobility and transfers (lifting up to 50 lbs).
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

As a Home Health Aide at New Century Home Care, you’ll play a vital role in supporting client independence and well-being. Your day-to-day tasks will encompass:

Providing personalized assistancewith daily living activities (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Partnering with clientsto ensure medication adherence and offering support as needed.
Creating healthy and delicious mealswhile catering to individual preferences and dietary requirements.
Maintaining a clean and comfortable environmentthrough light housekeeping tasks.
Fostering meaningful connectionsby engaging clients in conversation, participating in recreational activities, and offering companionship.
Providing safe transportationto appointments and outings, ensuring clients feel confident and supported.
Keeping a watchful eyeand reporting any changes in a client’s health, behavior, or environment to the care team.
Upholding the highest standards of careby adhering to all state regulations and New Century Home Care policies.
